If you are upgrading your computer to a new one, or have reinstalled Windows due to an upgrade or rebuild, you may qualify

for a free license replacement.

In general, a replacement license requires that we know the request key from the "old" computer and from the "new" computer. Please see the following links for additional information about free replacement eligibility and information required.

To reinstall a Dataworxs stand-alone product do the following:

Step 1: Ensure that you have the request key from the "old" computer. If you don't already have a printed record of the license information, you can retrieve the request key for the current (i.e. "old") computer by running "Start>All Programs>Dataworxs Systems>License

Administrator>License Administrator" on the old computer. The request key for the computer is shown on the License Administrator main window.

Step 2: Install the Dataworxs product on the new computer. Ask your Dataworxs dealer for a link to the latest version.

Step 3: Once Personal Companion, AudioWav Player or AudioWav Mic is installed on the replacement computer you can run the same License Administrator utility to get the request key from the new computer.

Step 4: Send the request key from the "old" computer and the request key from the "new" computer to license@dataworxs.com. If you have any additional information, such as a product certificate originally redeemed for your license and/or know the "Station Identifier" provided during the original licensing, send that along as well.

Step 5: If you qualify for a new license, you will receive an Activation Key that you can use to license the new computer. 

5a. Run License Administrator on the new computer, ensure that the appropriate product is selected. 

5b. Press "Install Default License".

5c. Press "Administer".

5d. Paste the Activation Key in the field provided and press "Add New License". Your product is now licensed on the new computer.
