Digital Recorders Supported by AudioWav Player and Personal Companion
The current list of digital portables that are supported include the Olympus DS-4000/5000 (Personal Companion 2.00.027+/AudioWav Player 2.00.018+), Olympus DS-4000/3000/2300/2000/660/330, Lanier M3, Philips 9600/9500/9400i/9350/9250/9220, Sanyo B150/B5000, Norcom 2700, Dictaphone Walkabout, Dictaphone 5210/5215, Grundig portables, and Uher.
DS2 format support is now available to support DS-5000/DS-3400/DS-2400 in DSS Pro (DS2) mode. DS2 format is also supported in the Philips 9600/9610, however, it is a user-selected recording option - the default is DSS Classic. Newer Olympus models are DSS Pro mode by default. The DS-5000 can be changed to record in DSS Classic but the DS-2400 is DSS Pro only.
Dataworxs recommends the Olympus or Philip recorders as they are specifically designed for professional use. The units that tend to be the most trouble free are the Olympus DS-5000/DS-4000/3000/660/330 and the Philips recorders. The most popular ones are the Olympus DS-3000/4000/5000 and Philips 9350/9400/9600.
Note: This list of supported digital recorders is not necessarily complete and is always changing as new models are introduced and others discontinued. It is always a good idea to confirm compatibility by actually trying the recorder with the appropriate application and/or checking with Dataworxs.
