When Philips DPM software is installed it may configure your Windows to automatically run Philips download software (DPMApp.exe). When this download software is running it can interfere with Personal Companion's, AudioWav Player's, and File Transfer Assistant's ability to automtically detect and download audio from a Philips DPM digital recorder. To prevent Philips DPMApp from running run RegEdit and traverse to the following key:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run

Delete DPMApp.
