An Audioworxs system supports connections from computers on the same Class C network (i.e. netmask 255.255.255.0) without the need for the optional connection license. On a larger Class A or Class B network (i.e. netmask 255.0.0.0 or 255.255.0.0), the WAN/Internet option is required. Therefore a network of up to 254 hosts (computers/devices) are supported without purchasing the optional WAN/Internet connection option.
In other words, if the first 3 numbers of the client's IP address do not match the first 3 numbers of the Audioworxs server's IP address the WAN/Internet option is required.
