Authors hear a periodic beep in their ear when recording over the telephone. The Record Cue Tone feature is enabled but seems to beep even when the author is speaking. Can I change the sensitivity of the Record Cue Tone feature?

When recording (except with GSM) the record cue tone is played whenever the input signal is less than VPP_SOUND_THRESHOLD for a duration greater than VPP_REC_CUE_START_THRESHOLD. The record cue tone stops playing when the input signal level is greater than VPP_SOUND_THRESHOLD for a duration greater than VPP_REC_CUE_STOP_THRESHOLD. These parameters can be adjusted using the Brooktrout Configuration Wizard. Select the Advanced Options and then press the “Configure Board Parameters” button. These parameters and others can be adjusted from here.
