The steps required prior to installing Audioworxs software differ for each installation. However, the following items are common to most installations.
  1. Ensure that all computers on the network that may be used as a Audioworxs server and/or Audioworxs client have connectivity to each other either in a client-server relationship or a workgroup (peer-to-peer) relationship.
  2. Install the database software and ensure that other computers on the network have access to it.
  3. Create a default user in the database software (unless using Access) that has a username “awuser” and a password “awpass” and follow the instructions provided for the appropriate database software.
  4. If clients will be accessing the Audioworxs server(s) via the Internet create a port mapping in the firewall/router’s Network Address Translation (NAT) table that will allow access to the workstation(s) running the Audioworxs servers on ports 1702, 1703, and 1704. Note: These are default ports that can be changed if required.
