It is important to remember that in an Audioworxs system a Job and a Document are two distinct elements. A Job can be linked to one or more documents. For example a Job may have a link to an audio document (the dictation file) and have a link to a text document (the transcript). Both a Job and a Document have various dates associated with them.
  • Job
    • Create Date: The date the Job record was created in the Audioworxs database.
    • Save Date: The date the Job was "saved" by an author. In the case of Jobs that have been created by importing previously recorded audio files, the Create Date and Save Date will be the same.
    • Audio Create Date: The date the audio file associated with a Job was last modified. In other words, the date the author actually finished recording the audio. In the case of audio created outside of the Audioworxs system - perhaps recorded on a portable digital recorder - and then later imported into Audioworxs, the Audio Create Date will be before the Create Date.
    • Last Update Date: The date the Job record was last modified for any reason.
  • Document
    • Create Date: The date the file associated with the document record was created.
    • Complete Date: The date the document (usually an audio document) was marked as "Complete" by a transcriptionist or editor.
    • Received Date: The date the document was received into the Audioworxs system. This date may be different from the Create Date when, for example, an audio file is created on a digital portable recorder and later transfered to the Audioworxs system.
    • Distribution Date: This date field is not used by the Audioworxs system at this time.
